Since I started researching my family tree about three years ago one of the goals has been to find the identity of Benjamin ORICKS or ORRICKS (b abt. 1760 NC) father. Through years of hard work by many different researchers this is kind of where we stand.
There was a big breakthrough with the DNA testing that proved beyond a doubt that the TN ORICKS are related to the MD ORICKS, along with many other branches, including ARK,TEX, and others.
By data left to us through wills, deeds,bibles,tax records and census we can place three adult males,JOHN,JAMES,WILLIAM in NC in 1790, as well as Samuel in 1810. John is the only one listed with a male in his household that would fall in to the age range of BENJAMIN.
If you have information linking any of these ORICK males back to the ORRICKS in MD,get involved,you may hold the clue
to solving this mystery.
