I am searching for information on my great, great grandfather, John Cromwell Orrick, Sr. b. 8-17-1816 in or around Baltimore, MD, I think. He died 2-7-1848 in or near Greensboro, AL, I believe. I have seen the history of the Orricks of the Maryland area, but cannot pinpoint exactly John Cromwell Orrick, Sr.
He was married to Mariah Arrington on 2-11-1841 in or near Greensboro, Alabama with a Rev. D.P. Bestor of Salem Baptist Church officiating. Mariah and John Cromwell Orrick, Sr had one son, John C. Orrick, Jr b. 12-23-1844 in Greensboro (later changed his name after civil war to George Washington Arrington) and died in Canadian, TX on 3-31-1923.
If anyone knows of his connection to the lineage, I would greatly appreciate your help. I am willing to share any info I may have that will help you.
