Children of George William ORROCK & Jane HAZON:

Ann Ellen,
b 08 June 1850 at Mount Terrace Westoe, County Durham.

Jane B (Isabella)
b. 21 May 1852 at 58 Thames Street, Westoe
I think married John MOORE about 1873

George William
b. 16 May 1855 at Point Houses, Longbenton, Walker
Worked as marine engineer. Developed dementia when aged only about 45. Died 19 August 1917 at Sunderland Borough Asylum.
Married 1873 Ann TURNER
Children:
George William b. about 1879
John Hazon b. about 1882
Robert b. about 1887
Ellen b. about 1885
Jessie b. about 1890 (dies 1891)
James b. about 1891
... think some other children too

John Hazon
b. 20 September 1857, at St Anthony’s Byker
Worked as groom and later coachman. In Newcastle, Shotley Bridge, Winlaton and Eglingham. Died: 08 November 1921.
Married about 1880 Selina (surname unknown) from Lincolnshire
Children:
George William b. about 1884
Arthur b. about 1888
Elizabeth b. about 1893

Robert Jeremiah
b. 04 April 1860 at St Anthony’s Byker
Worked throughout life as a painter/decorator and eventually owned two shops one in Heaton and the other in Whitley Bay. Married 8 July 1877 Isabella Dorothy COCKBURN (dau. Of William COCKBURN, a porter/carter).
Children:
Robert b. 1884
Jane Isabella b. 1890
Margaret b. 1893
George b. 1896
William b. 1899

He was a founder member of the Heaton Masonic Lodge and through the Freemasons he met and became friends with Lord Joicey (baronet and M.P.). This seems to have led to some estrangement with his wife presumably as she (the daughter of a Newcastle carter) was not acceptable/comfortable mixing in these social circles. She died in 1930. Robert died on 05 June 1940 by which time, he seems to have lost most of his money.

Elizabeth
b. 14 June 1863 (NB I’ve only seen this birth on IGI)

Thomas James
b. 28 July 1865 at 106 New Road, Newcastle. Died 1866
