Hi,
Yes I can tell you quite a lot about this family. George William ORROCK and Jane HAZON are my Great-great-grand parents.
George (1828-1909) married Jane in 1848. George was the only child of William ORROCK (1796-1861) a mariner of Newcastle and Eleanor ARMSTRONG. He (George)went to sea as an apprentice in 1842 (aged 14) and attained his seaman's ticket in 1847. He seems to have remained a sailer throughout his life eventually (about 1870) becoming a master mariner and I believe owning/operating one or two ships out of Newcastle.
Their children were:
Ann Ellen, b.1850
Jane Isabel, b.1852
George William b.1855 d.1917
John Hazon b.1857 d.1921
Robert Jeremiah (my great-grandfather) b.1860 d.1940
Elizabeth b.1863
Thomas James b. 1865 d. 1866
Jane HAZON died in 1876, and in 1877 George remarried, to Jessie GRAHAM (née TOMPKINSON)who herself died sometime before 1901.
