I too seek this Call/Caul connection to Orrell Family.
You said Daniel's grandson Robert R. Orrell married Nelly Call. Is it possible she was the 2nd wife of Robert Orrell.
Following Census records:
1820 Census Rowan Co, NC shows: Daniel Orrel father of Robert Orrel age 26/45 (28 yrs)md. #1(Candace Mustion)
1830 Census can not find Robert Orrel.
1840 Census Carroll Co, TN: Robert Orrel 40/50 (47 yrs)
also his son John C. Orrel is listed
1850 census Ouachita Co, AR Robert Orrell age 57 with wife
M_____y Could this be Nelly Call ??????
1860 Census Ouchita Co, AR Robt Orrell age 68 and wife Lucinda.
Is it possible he married three times ?
