Seems like there might be something here, but I am not certain. It would require some more leg work on my part to figure out the name change and variances in children, etc... It's similar, but there's enough difference to make me think it might be two different families.

My source of information is http://www.heritagepursuit.com/Lucas/LucasPersonalSketches-1-25.htm. It states the following: MICHAEL DOOLEY was a native of County Galway, Ireland, where he was born in the year 1826. When about twenty years of age he came to America. he lived for many years in Cleveland and Henry County, Ohio. Ten years ago he moved to Lucas County, and resided upon his farm in Adams Township until his death, February 3,1888. In 1852 he married Catharine O'Rourke, of Cleveland. They had a large family of children; those living are Delia, Margaret. Michael Jr., Thomas, James B., John and Agnes. Margaret married John King, of Maumee. Mr. Dooley was a leading Democrat of his town. For many years he was engaged in farming.

I am a descendent of James B. Dooley & Margaret L. McQueeney--> Mabelle A. (Santmire) Dooley & William C. Bensch--> William J. Bensch & Helen L. Mock--> Robert F. Bensch & Kathleen M. Reno--> Me
