I put in a search for O'Rourkes in Colorado and come up with your post. I check in from time to time. My O'Rourkes were in Leadville - Victor Durango and Boulder.
In Leadville it was said that my GGrand mother was aquainted with Mollie Tobin Brown and attended the same church. In the late 1900's my GGreat grandmother ran a dress making shop in Boulder while her children were attending college. I know this is of no real help at this point but I will try to do some checking on your Hattie.
I just thought that there were a couple of interesting similarities.
