I am looking for any O'Rourkes that were in Missouri...I have very little information to go off of so anything you know would be very helpful...
what I do know is that my great great grandmother's name was Hattie O'Rourke, she was born in Missouri sometime around 1871. She came from a very Catholic Irish family and when she married my Great great grandfather (who was a protestant fresh over from England) she was disowned and (excommunicated?) her husband's name was John William Lawrence. He died around 1903 in some form of Industrial accident in Colorado and she was left alone and pregnant with their son (John William Lawrence II). I have in my records that John William Lawrence II was born in Missouri so she must have had some form of a kind relative that took her in.
She made a living as a dressmaker (reportedly did sewing for the Unsinkable Molly Brown)
I also know that both her parents were born in Ohio...
