Sarah Elizabeth O'Roarke of Marylland
Sarah Elizabeth O'Roarke married Isaac Richards in 1856.They had three daughters before he enrolled in the Potomac Home Brigade during the civil war.A son was born and died while he was gone.During a skirmish he received a wound to the head and was left on the field for dead.He regained consciousness in a confederate prison and was sent to Andersonville.While in prison, Sarah presumed he was dead and remarried.After his release and return home he found his wife with a new husband and another child.They were divorced in 1865 in Hagerstown, MD.
The 1860 census lists the family as Isaiah Richards living in Hancock, Maryland.
Would be interested in learning about Sarah's family before and after this marriage as I know nothing at all except what is in this note.
