Names alone are not enough to identify a family connection.Spouse and children's names are a little more helpful but dates and places are most likely to produce a reasonably speculative connection.Immigration records and family legend also help. The Information I have on the Ormsbys (apart from that of my direct line which verges off the Ormsbys of Cloghans, co. Mayo)is taken from "Beetham's Commoners" and "Burke's Landed Gentry".
I have only one gentleman:
Stephen dc.1702, of Castle Dargan , co. Sligo = Sarah___ d.1709however this would be way too early for your link as I would guess a great-grandfather was probably born about mid to late 1800s??
The Ormsby family was, and therefore probably still is, well represented in Ireland and elsewhere.Good hunting.
