I believe my family had connections with Rawtenstall-I'm not certain about Rossendale. HOwever the names of your family coincide with mine:
My Father-Thomas Ormerod: his brothers James & John and a twin Brother Frank killed in the 1st World War.
Their Father is Thomas Ormerod a Police Inspector posted all over Lancashire;
His Father John Ormerod-his twin Brother James born 1884
Their Father is Wellington Ormerod who died in 1886 -I cannot find details of his parents.
