Jerry,
At the time Andrew would have married Mary Cagle, the cost of a license was so high many were married without a license by a local preacher. There is no need to look further into William Comer for the DAR. He was a Quaker! His wife was Nancy Barbee whose father may have been William Barbee, but I have no proof. I don't think the parents of Nancy Lyle are known either. I would like to hear that they too have been located. The county records of Sevier County, TN burned in 1850 and I know they did not marry in Blount or any of the surrounding counties. I searched but found no marriage record for Henry Orman and Nancy Lyle. I don't know anyone who has information concerning the other two sisters, Barbara and Dinah. Do you? Mary
