Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I don't know if this will help, but this is what I've been told. My grandfather, Abraham Orlov, was the oldest of 13 children. He came to the US in about 1910 with the youngest in the family, my Aunt Fanny. In the 1970s, my family was contacted by a Russian family, Boris and Miriam Orloff who were the children of one of Abraham's brothers (something like Mark Orlov, I think). Eventually, this family left Russia and moved to Israel. Boris told me that Orloff was the name of a county in Russia (the Pale, near Riga). I don't know if this is correct, but that is the information I have. I haven't ever tried to verify it. We don't know what happened to Abraham's other brothers and sisters. Apparently two of the girls were named Taube and Faiga, but that is all I know.
