My g.grandfather was Joe Orlando born October 2, 1889 (not sure where) and died January 31, 1963 in Independence, Louisiana. He was married to Maria Pisciotta Orlando. She was born October 22, 1888 and died July 21, 1948. They had I believe 5 children namely: Lilly Orlando Salamone, still living, Besse Orlando Monteville born February 22, 1925 and died Jan. 31, 1996, Esther Orlando Salamone, born 1916 and died January 7, 1989, Katie Orlando Winters ?, still living, and Ciro P. Orlando, born August 31, 1912 and died November 6, 1949. I am told that my grandfather has an uncle or cousin somewhere near Ft. Lauderdale, Florida which I will be going to see in a couple of weeks, and hopefully I will be able to get a little more info from him regarding what part of Italy they actually came from. If anyone has any information that might be linked to this line, please contact me as soon as possible, and if I come across anything else, I would be happy to share with anyone in need.
