I am researching a tall clock for a friend. A letter came with it stating that the writer had purchased it at the sale of General Paddleford in Washington, DC. He married Betty Ordway, then divorced her and moved to Europe. There are no dates on this paper, but the handwriting looks to me like 1800's. Any infor on Betty or Paddleford would be appreciated.
