I'm related to Ruth Ord who was born at Egglescliffe, Co Durham along with all of her many siblings so they must have lived there for some time. Her parents were Benjamin Ord and Ann Patteson. What I would really like to find out is where they lived at Egglescliffe -does anyone know this from any birth/christening records also do they know what Benjamin's occupation was? I believe a few others on the board may have information on this family. One reason I'm particularly interested is that despite them living there about 200 years ago, my parents still live within 1/2 a mile of Egglescliffe and they would love to find the house where this family once lived!
