Jackie
I have followed your line of papermakers at Tudhoe down to Benjamin b. Hartlepool 1907 and Jonathan William b Sunderland 1904 from John m. Margaret Miller 1807.
Your John b 1784 d 1824 was I thought the John said to have operated the Tudhoe Mill from 1793 to 1817 but I have a problem with a nine year old papermaker !!
Jonathan and Christoher of Croxdale 1791 are possibly connected to the Lamesley Ords. I have that Lamesley line starting with Benjamin who married Barbara Wilkinson in 1732 and who was a papermaker at Bages Mill. There are several Jonathans and Christohers in that Family but which ones were running Croxdale Mill in 1791?
Christopher and Benjamin b. 1768 grandsons of Benjamin were still at Lamesley in 1795 and 1788 resp. Also there are a son and a grandson both Jonathan on whom I have nothing after 1770.
So this is probably not very helpful to you especially as I have no earlier link to my particular interest in Fishburn and Sedgfield
