thank you so much for the informative responses! Our last name coincidence is pretty neat. I have no Nelson 's west of Missouri to my knowledge. "My" Conrad Schott is one of seven children who lived to adulthood, born to George and Catherine Schott. Conrad 's parrents and all of his siblings remained in St. Louis and are burried there. (As I posted earlier, I actually descend from Conrad's sister) It does look like Conrad and his family remained in the Wasco Co. area. If you do get a chance to look for a tombstone for Conrad (Senior), I will be grateful. My hope is to get his death information in order to track down an Obituary. Thanks again!
