Jonas CASNER/CARSNER (b.1835 MO) married Penelope Maupin (b.1834 KY)on 8-2-1855 in Carroll County, MO. It is thought they migrated to Oregon and settled in/around Maupin in Wasco County. Jonas is the son of John 'Jack' Casner who lived/died in Carroll County, MO.
The family of Henry CASNER (brother to John 'Jack' Casner)consisting of 13 sons and one daughter migrated to OR in 1852 settling in Linn, Lane, Wheeler, and Wasco Counties. Jonas is a cousin.
Does anyone have any information on Jonas and Penelope? Did they remain in Wasco County? Did they have children? When/where did they die?
Would be interested in hearing from any Casner/Carsner resercher in the OR area.
