Hi,

Sorry about the incorrect info.

Another source for her obituary is the university of oregon, http://libweb.uoregon.edu/general/gethelp.htm. They do charge a fee.

According to the Johnston Family Tree, Thelma's maiden name was Allen. Thelma A. Allen was born 5 July 1904, Monroe Co., WI. Source: Wisconsin Births 1820-1907, Reel #0219, Record #000176.

Her parents were Lewis and maud Allen.

In 1900 Lewis Allen was living in Lincoln, Monroe, WI. All persons living in the household are shown as white.
Sophia Allen, head, b. NY April 1842, W, had given birth to 15 chldren but only nine alive in 1900.
Lewis, son, b. WI oct 1871, day laborer.
Jasper, son, b. WI Oct 1875, day laborer.
Henry, son, b. WI Dec 1879, day laborer.
Minnie Griffin, dau, b. WI June 1887, marr 4 yrs.
ruth Griffin, granddau, b. WI, Oct 1896.
William Dewey Griffin, grandson, b. WI, July 1899.

Lewis married Maud about 1905. In 1905 they were living in Lincoln, Monroe, WI. All family members listed as white.
Lewis L. Allen, b. NY & MD, 32, farmer.
Maude E., wife, b. WI, 18.
Sophia Allen, mother, b. NY, 63.
thelma Allen, dau, b. WI, 0 (under age of one).

In 1910 the family was living in Lincoln and all members listed as white.
Lewis L. Allen, b. WI, 37, marr 6 yrs, laborer odd jobs.
Maude E., wife, b. WI, 23, had given birth to three children but only one alive in 1910.
Thelma A., dau, b WI, 5.

In 1920 the family was living in Lincoln and all members listed as white.
Lewis L. Allen, b. WI, 47, laborer railroad.
Maude E., wife, b. WI, 31.
thelma A., dau, b, WI, 15.

Thelma and Elwin must have married after the 1920 but before the 1930 Census but don't know what state. All of this depends on thelma's maiden name being Allen. Hopefully that will be mentioned in her obituary. If not, it MIGHT be on her death certificate. Successful Searching!
