John M. Lynn, Sr. served in the Civil War as a Private, E Company, 12 Regiment, Infantry Jan 1862-1865. In 1890 he lived in Buena Vista, Independence and Sumner, Polk Co., OR. Source: 1890 veterans Schedule, www.ancestry.com.

In 1900 the family was living in Salt Lake, Polk Co., OR.

I didn't find any other information about Sadie. If you want to pursue that she might have married in Polk Co., there is a volunteer at Random Acts Genealogical Kindness who might do this kind of lookup. Go to www.raogk.org, read instructions, choose Oregon, choose Polk Co. and look for Dick.
In 1920 John Sr., Rhoda and James were living in Dallas, Polk Co.

I didn't find John Sr. in the Death INdex but he must have died after the 1920 and before the 1930 Census. I'd ask the RAOGK volunteer.
