Dear Janice,
I want to thank you for this information about Kate Toole Northcutt. Margaret knew exactly how to find out what I needed to know. She is so nice for contacting you on my behalf.
My Grandfather who was a Mormon, had a wife and two sons. She contracted Tuberculosis and died when she was 25 years old. She never knew who her real parents were. She had been raised by her mother's sister and her husband after her own mother died when she was about 2 years old. It wasn't a subject that was discussed, so I'm sure she wondered about her parents and why this had to be kept from her. I'm sure she was frightened as her own death approached, because she had no family to be "sealed" to as is the Mormon custom. John researched the old fashioned way, from 1930 until his death in 1983. He looked for the family of his young wife so they could be "sealed" together as is customary in the Mormon Church. He gave us many good clues, but knew he needed to have his work continued once he was gone. Now you can fully see why I thank you for this information. I just wanted you to know how grateful my grandparents and my family are. If there are any costs associated with his, I'll more than gladly reimburse for all. I can never fully repay your kindness. God bless you.
Sincerely,
Laura Anderson Way
PS My great grandfather was Kate's son Jess J. Northcutt.
