R. L. Polk Co's Portland City Directories (Oregon). The following directories were the only ones, in your time frame, available to me in the library I use:
1897: No entries for the PRINTZ name.
1903, page 666
PRINTZ, Peter D., lab. res Point View
(Research Note: Point View was on City & Suburban Railway Co, 1/2 mile east of St. Johns. This information about "Point View" was in the City Directory section of "Directory of Additions," page 60.)
1904, page 765
PRINTZ, Peter D., truckman, St. Johns Lumber Co., res. St. Johns.
1906, page 894
PRINTZ, Bertha, dom E. P. Swetland.
PRINTZ, Peter D., lab, res 516 E Charleston, St. Johns.
1906, page 951
St Johns Lumber Co., John Kane pres, Wm C. Francis sec & mngr, Daniel Brecht tres, ft W Burlington, St. Johns.
1906, page 1054
SWETLAND, Edwin P. (Swetland & Son) res West av nr Hawthorne av.
SWETLAND, Louis E. (Swetland & Son), bds West av nr Hawthorne av
SWETLAND & Son (Edwin P. and Louis E.) confectioners and caterers, 273 Morrison.
(Research Note: St Johns is now a small district within the City of Portland, located in the northwest part, along the Willamette River.)
1912: No entries for the PRINTZ name. There was a listing on page 1217 for Herman P. PRINZ and Robt PRITZ.
I happened to look at an index for the Multnomah County Marriages for marriages in Vol. 17 - 19, June 1906 - Jan 1907 and found the following listing which may be of interest to you:
PRINTZ, B.C., 29 Nov. 1906 to BURNHAM, J., Vol. 19, page 410.
That reference led to the Multnomah County Marriage Record Book, in the Rare Book Room at the Genealogical Forum of Oregon, Portland, Oregon. I extracted the following information from Vol. 19, page 410.
"A clergyman of the church....license bearing date 26 Nov. 1906....did on 29 Nov. 1906, at Trinity Chapel, join J. Burnham of Multnomah County, State of Oregon and B. C. Printz of Multnomah County, State of Oregon....in the presence of Mrs. A. A. Morrison & Carl Denton....filed Dec. 20, 1906 by F. S. Fields, County Clerk.....Witness my hand: A. A. Morrison."
(Research Note: The 1912 Portland City Directory showed a listing for a "Rev. Albert A. Morrison, rector Trinity Episcopal Church, h 68 Trinity Pl." This is probably the clergyman in the above referenced marriage. This B. C. PRINTZ might be related to your Peter D. PRINTZ.)
