Sometimes another funeral home will have the records of the one that went out of business. What was the name of the funeral home that handled the funeral and went out of business?
Have you found Augustus P. Wynd in the 1930 census? Was he living in Portland or another place? If he lived only a short time in Portland, but spent most of his life in another city or town, the other place may have published a much larger notice of death or an obituary. If his family lived elsewhere, there may have been a newspaper notice of his death in the town where his family lived to notify family and friends.
How old would he have been and was he born in the USA or another country? Do you know any of the names of family? Do you know the address where he lived prior to his death and do you know his occupation? What other spellings of his surname have you found and do you know if he went by the name of Agustus or if family and friends may have called him Gus?
