1929 NELSON, Fred (Martha), millwkr, h 592 Madison. [Research Note: same information for 1930.]
1933 NELSON, Fred (Martha), lab, h 592 Madison.
[Research Note: Prior to 1920, the city directories of 1915 and 1918 had several men named Fred Nelson, but none listed with wife Martha.]

Naturalization Record: Nov. 16, 1922. Portland, Oregon, U. S. Dist. Court.
Another Foreign Voter Registration Card was for April 12, 1927, and it listed Fred as a Republican, Pct. 29, born in Sweden, Naturalized the same date and place and living at the same address as on the 1930 card.
