Oooh, Laura! How fabulous! Thank you so much for all your work.

Where do I find the Elizabeth/Nathan divorce - is that something I can look at online? I managed to contact some of Elizabeth's wider family and they have *her* divorcing *him* when she returned to the USA, supposedly because he refused to pay support for her and the children whilst she was in New Zealand. (Apparently they travelled here in 1913 and then got stuck first with the war and then with the flu epidemic). Does it give actual wording about who filed against whom?

Elizabeth remarried to a widower named Thomas Reynolds a few years later, and that marriage ended in divorce also. Could the 1930 divorce be for them?

I understand that Nathan's birth place and date varied on documents, and that they don't appeaar to match any reality. For example, he says that he was born to specific parents in one of the CArolinas... but there is no record of said parents nor his birth. But he does keep falling back on August 14th as his birthday. Elizabeth's eulogy acknowledges that Nathan's real name was Thomas Harris.

Do you happen to have a link for the newspaper articles about the shooting? How intriguing!

Awesome information - much to think about.

Alison
