Willamette National Cemetery: Gomer C. Workman, SFC US Army, WWI, born 4/23/1897, died 12/12/1975, buried Section A, Site 1984.He shares with Gladie D, born 2/6/1910, died 5/11/1986.
George Earl Workman, died 11/27/1988, buried Section 47, site 2011.
Of no importance, but: January 12, 1964 issue of the Sunday Gazette-Mail (Charleston, West Virginia), obituary of Frank Wiseman.Obit identified Gomer Workman of Salem, Ore, and James H. Workman of Artie, as half-brothers.
July 11, 1963.Beckley Post-Herald.
Artie.
Mr. and Mrs. Gomer Workman and her sister, Mrs Sadie Williams of Hillboro, Ore., arrived during the weekend for a visit with relatives.Workman is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Workman of Clear Creek...
Dec 17, 1975.
Artie.
Word has been received that a former resident, Gomer Workman, 74, died of an apparent heart attack Friday evening at his home in Portland, Ore.
I'd suggest:
Contact Willamette National Cemetery for any records on the family of Gomer and Gladie. Both buried there:http://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/willamette.asphttp://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/willamette.asp
Riverside:

Obtain the obits for Gladie, Gomer and George. They may identify where Donald was living when they died.
I'd suggest a volunteer in the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness.READ THE GUIDELINES FIRST.You can not ask more than one volunteer for the same info at a time:Portland is in Washington and Multnomah Counties; but an obit probably be found in the Portland Oregonian by anyone in the area.

Donald R, if born after 1930 would possibly be alive today.I did a search for Donald R at www.zabasearch.com, but insufficient proof of anyone.Too many for just a Donald Workman search.
Oregon Public Records (where privacy (BS LAW) law doesn't prevent research) are available free during the week, otherwise online, if you want to pay $150.00 set up fee. But, someone at RAOGK could look for public records involving the family. If Gladie died in 1986, there might be property records, will, etc. Also court Probate records might be found, Superior Court for Multnomah County.
Again, a LOCAL person is always the best attack.I'm in Tacoma, WA, about 130 miles from Portland... the other "poster" is in E. Wenatchee.
