The answers you seek may well be found in the Courthouse or local Historical Society. You never mentioned a time frame or dates.
Courthouse:by going the Grantee indexes you can find when Benjamin purchased the property.Grantor indexes can tell you when the property was sold out of the family. As well as looking for surnames, also keep an eye open for "Heirs of" or "Estate of" under that surname as well.Your going to have to do your homework to find out who took title from Benjamin or from his estate.
The Assessor's Office MIGHT be able to help you out as well once you gather up the information from the deeds. They may be able to determine what parcel Benjamin owned, and then show you a map of that locale.
Historical Society may be able to locate an obit for you from old newspapers, or may have some type of files on the cemeteries in their area.SOme even have alphabetical files for births, deaths, misc., that came from old newspapers, or possibly files done up by surnames.
