We are very grateful for the following information.
The following is bits and pieces of full articles that have been sent to us from:
The Oregonian-newspaper 5 May 1895 page 3
and the
History of Union and Wallowa Counties 1902 book pages 580-581.
1st is John Fleming he was born in Perry County, Illinois July 1857. He married a Elizabeth Gwillin on 23 December 1884 in a unknown place. They had the following children:
Thomas W., Hebert L..,Homer R., and Harriet E.,
John was killed by a John Baslm in Enterprise over a cow on 29 April 1895. His remains rest in the oddfellows and Mason's cemetery in Joseph.

We would like to find out if there is a headstone located there for John Fleming that we could request a photo of.

We would love to find more information on the family and headstones for the rest of the family but have no idea when they died or where they were buried.

We appreciate everyone's help in the search for our family members.
