Hi, Thanks so much. You do have new info.I have been writing to 3 people on Anc. with this family. They sent me info out of a book about the Cameron and Kerr family which is May Ann's family in Ohio.I did find the 1870 cencus but thought it wasn't them as James was her oldest and should have been 21 in 1870.Edward would have been only 16 but could have left home by then.
Then I was surprised to see most of the family including Edward living with his sister. I forgot to look at the neighbors with that one.I think the 1860 census was right that said he was born in Cal. as all the younger kids were.
I think Maria B. or R. is Rosebelle or Della Hatch. I have a copy of a letter she sent to cousin Olive (Cameron) Garrey about her mother Mary dying at her sister Carrie's house. The date was what I had. 12 may 1912.
The father Isaac Albert Anderson died while working on a gold mine in Nevada. A tree fell on him. 9 Oct. 1864.
I will send you what others have sent me. I sure appreciate the help.
Edward married Matildia Randle31 Jan. 1876 in Shasta Co.Their daughter Mary A. Anderson was born 08 Nov. 1878 in Sacramento, Cal.I've never been able to find her on a census with them.
He left them in Oregon when Mary was young and Matildia got a divorce in 1888.He never did support them and she did all the work. Drank a lot.
I found Matildia on the 1900 census and 1910 with Mary and my grandfather Milton in Seattle. Mary divorced her husband also.Amos Carver Smith. He's another story. Dead end also.
Mary was mostly raised by her grandfather Joseph Randle in Jackson Co. Oregon. I have pictures of Mary, son Milton,Joseph and Matildia all together. Mary split up before or after husband Amos kidnapped my grandfather Milton and took him to Oregon. Got him back after a year. Mary married a nice man named Harry Blunk and they had a good life. I never tried to send for her birth cert in Sac. as I thought they didn't have them then. Mary was their only child.
I can't believe all you have found. Thank you so much.
