Hi Muriell,
With your additional info, I found more info.

In 1930 Alphonso Kuhn and the Parker family were living in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.
Alphonso Kuhn, b. canada-english, 22 yrs old, immigrated 1918, alien, single, carpenter helper railroad.
Teresa Parker, sister, b. IL, 31, marr @ 22.
Lawanda Parker, neice, b. WA, 7.
F. Kenneth Parker, nephew, b. WA, 6.

There are two volunteers in Random Acts Genealogical Kindness for Multnomah Co; Jenny and Kristeen. Go to www.raogk.org. I think my previous post contained the steps.

An Alphonso Kuhn, Spouse=Jean, Age-57, died 15 July 1964, Multnomah Co per death cert #10196. Source: Same as above.

A Kenneth F. Parker b. 22 Nov 1923, Last Residence Portland, Clackamas Co, 97267 died 15 Nov 1994. His soc. sec. # was assigned in WA before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index, www.ancestry.com. This might not be your Kenneth.

A Kenneth Floyd Parker, b. 22 Nov 1923, Age-70, Spouse=Sally, died 12 Nov 1994, Clackamas Co. per death cert 94-24120. Source: OR Death Index 1903-98, www.ancestry.com.

There is a volunteer Mari at www.raogk.org who can look up his obituary.

The most recent U S Census that the public has access to now was the 1930 Census. The 1940 Census will be made available in 2012. Therefore, there is no easy way to find info for Perry and Shipp families that were living in WA state in 1950. If you know where they were living, you could contact the local genealogy society and see if they have city/county directory and if it includes those surnames. Successful Searching!
