This is what I found on your family.
A Female Kuhn was b. 15 Oct 1893 in Tacoma, Pierce Co., WA. Father=Kasper Kuhn, b. Germany. Mother=Christian Kuhn, b. Sweden. Source: Washington Birth Index 1891-1907, www.ancestry.com. I think this might be Philena?
Kasper, Philapina and children in 1900 were living in Lapwai, Nez Perce Co., Idaho.
Kasper, b. Germany Nov 1864, immigrated 1888, naturalized before the 1900 Census, marr 9 years, farmer.
Philapina, b. Germany July 1866, had given birth to five children and three alive in 1900.
Philena b. IL, Jan 1893.
Kasper, b. IL, Sept. 1896.
Jerris, daughter, b. IL, Sept. 1898.
Their neighbors were Francis, Mary and children Kuhn.
A Kasper Kuhn living at 3634 N. Robey, Chicago on June 5, 1918 born 1 Sept 1896, Hefty, Illinois. Father Born=Germany. Occupation=Hackenbeck and Wallace, West Baden, IN. Nearest Relative=Philapina Kuhn, same address as above.
Kasper, Philipina and Alphonse Kuhn came into the USA at Eastport, Idaho.
Kasper, b. Germany, Age-55, Estimated Birth Year=1864, farmer.
Philipina, 53.
Alphonse, 11.
Final destination=Portland, Oregon.
An Alphonse Kuhn in 1920 was living in St. Louis, MO. He was born 1900, Illinois. His parents were born in Bavaria and Prussia. He was a student at a seminary.
Casper and Philippine Kuhn in 1930 were living in Lochknowe as you know.

You can request a copy of his obituary by going to Random Acts Genealogical Kindness, www.raogk.org, read instructions, choose Oregon, choose Multnomah Co. and look for Kristeen. She will look up an obituary in that county.
