Looking for any information about a JOSEPH SEARS that was listed with the Jackson Powell family in the 1880 Powells Valley, OR census. I find a Joseph A. Sears that died in the Portland area in 1906, also a Joseph Sears that was housed as an inmate in the Baker County penitentiary in 1871. I need to know if any of these JOSEPH SEARS, who was born abt 1847 near Sonoma, CA is the son of John & Dorcas Prigmore Sears. I am hoping that some kind soul will help me find anything about this young man that disappears off the map after he is found in the 1860 Colusa Co., CA census. Thanks for any information. Margaret
