In the Sept.9th 1915 Argus Observer it tells of him loading his mother's trunk, when the horses bolted and he fell under the rear wheel trying to get to the reins, and died 4 hrs later at the hospital. He left a wife and 3 small children, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. His father and his children arrrived in Ontario the day before his funeral and didn't know of his death.
