I have worked with some of the people in Lebanon.I also provided them some data and posted data that I had collected.
Apparently pawstreen copied my data without permission and posted it in several places without crediting it.
There is a published report of a James Galloway in the area about 1850 but mine is in the 1850 census in Illinois. Thus, unless his parents reported him with the family after he had left or he left after June 1 1850, he was not in Oregon in mid-1850.Family tradition is that he came to Oregon on horseback more or less alone so he might have been there later in 1850.
Thanks for the suggestions. It has been some time since I searched for him on-line and something new might be available.
