Re: Questions: Is the Earl R Pomeroy listed, the historian 1915-2005? Answer: No. The historian is Earl Spencer Pomeroy, and I have finally traced him back to immigrant Eltweed Pomeroy who came to America about 1630. My questions about the line Clyde Archie/Archie Clyde of Linn County, Oregon are still unanswered. I am a volunteer with the American Pomeroy Historic Genealogical Association. We are working on the update of A A Pomeroy's History and Genealogy of the Pomeroy Family, pub 1912. It focuses on the descendants of Eltweed Pomeroy, but we are also doing a comprehensive work on all Pomeroys, Pomroys, Pomerys, etc. in the U. S. from 1600 to present. As the West Coast Office (one person volunteer, so far) I am working on THE POMEROYS OF OREGON project. Appreciate any help in learning more about these lines. Thanks!
