Hi Deborah,
It’s great to connect with someone else who is interested in some of the same people I am. George’s parents were Cardwell Clark and Ruth America Smith. Both were born in Patrick Co, VA, where they also married. Cardwell’s father George and uncle Joel moved with their families to Jackson Co, MO around 1840, after Cardwell’s grandfather Samuel died in 1832. They all stayed there, except for Cardwell, who took his wife and at least two children, of whom George was the elder, to Sonoma Co, CA. They stayed there until about 1865 or a little after, then moved to Linn Co, OR. Altogether, Cardwell and Ruth had 7 children, George M, Perry, Marshall S, Emma Eugenia, Theodosia, James E, and Charles Eben. George and Nancy married about the time that the Clarks all moved to Oregon,

George and Nancy had 4 children: Thelyssa Cala (b 1867), William C. (b 1871), D Ada (b 1875) and Lula S (male, b March 1880) I could find no further information about any of them other than Lula (alternately listed as Eula). He married Lillie B. Powell on June 21, 1903, in Linn Co and died in 1954. They had two children that I was able to find: Florence A (b Mar 25, 1904, d Sept 24, 1907) and Willie S. (b. June 13, 1908). Willie married Irma Mae (unknown last name), and I found three children for them, who may still be living. Willie died Dec. 2, 1984, and Irma Mae died Dec 14, 1983.

The tree for this line is on Rootsweb Worldconnect: I thought I had all the sources listed, but I evidently did not upload them. I’ll fix that, but it may take a few days.

I am descended from George’s uncle, Samuel Clark. He went to Tennessee in 1805 and died a year later.
