Rebecca,
Thank you for your response. Several others suggested to me that Pleasant was indeed a male name. Based on that, I went a head an ordered the death certificate for Pleasant F. Thomas today from the Oregon State Archives.

This fellow has been bugging me for years. He disappears from census records after appearing in 1910 in Jefferson, Marion County, OR. I recently located an elderly gentleman that had information on P. Frasier and he is the one that pointed my to Eugene as the place of death.
