At wit's end trying to find uncle who died in the 1940s
P. Frasier/Frasher THOMAS was born February 1879 in Wright County, Missouri. He died in a hospital in Eugene, likely 1943-1945, as the result of being hit by a car while on a hay wagon.
I do not know his true given name. It might have been "Paul" but a search of the Oregon State Death index does not show a Paul F. Thomas dying in that time frame. The only name close is Pleasant F. Thomas who died in Lane County 25 November 1945. Pleasant seems like a feminine name to me. There are no Frasier Thomas names listed in the Oregon death index.
Does anyone have a suggestion as how to find his death date in the index? Are there any obit indices of Lane County that would show the gender of Pleasant F. Thomas?
All suggestions appreciated very much. Thank you. Nancy
