Frank ‘Floyd’ E. Palmer was born January 8, 1891 in Grant, Monroe County, Wisconsin; his father was born in Ohio. He was adopted by Sarah Cox Palmer and Edward N. Palmer probably before both Edward and his natural son Orson Palmer died in the early 1890's in Tomah, WI; Sarah would have been 52 years and Edward would have been 57 when they adopted Floyd, if they adopted him at birth. In 1910 Census he was age 19 years and an insurance agent as was his widowed mother Sarah Palmer in Tomah, Monroe County, Wisconsin. At age 26, in 1918 he was drafted in to World War I; his occupation was laborer at Moline Plow Company in Stoughton, which is south of Madison, WI; he asked for an exemption because of the dependency of his mother. Floyd possibly died December 1970 in Klamath Falls, Klamath County, Oregon at age 91 years. In 1930 Floyd Palmer was age 36, single, and worked in retail grocery in Klamath Falls.
