Raymond Leslie Schnitgen, could have been born with that last name, even if he was fathered by my grandfather. If Martha and Ernest had separted but not divorced, Raymond
Leslie did belong to my grandfather, when he was born, he would be given the last name of Schnitgen. That would make sense, if she was still married to Ernest , but not living with him,and not yet divorced to where she could have married my grandfather, then he would have been born with that last name.
