John G. Gilmore, 81 of Eureka California, died in a eureka hospital, September 8,1958 after a long illness. He was born June 13, 1877 in Kerby, Oregon. He was the son of David M. Gilmore and Mary F. Gilmore early settlers of the Illinois Valley. He lived his early years in the valley and worked most of his life as a miner and a farmer. He also drove stage coast in eastern Oregon and other routes of the west.
He is survived by a brother, William E, Gilmore of Eureka and a sister Maude Brown Hedden of Arcata California, nephews Vess Clark of hayfork California Charles Gilmore,
Klamath Falls Oregon Vern Gilmore Happy camp California David Gilmore Eureka, Arthur Brown Kings Bay California and Robert Brown of Honeydew California.
Nieces Ethel Wolfe Lodi ca, Katherine Fennimore, Los Angeles Ca., Jessie White Richmond Ca. Marie March, Willetts Ca. Alice Barker Elk Grove Ca. Hattie Hogue Gold Beach Oregon, Pauline Deo, Eureka, Francis Corsetti Eureka, Minnie Hall Gold beach, Ada Johnston, Wedderburn Oregon. 27 Great nieces and nephews 29 great great nieces and nephews Funeral services were held at Cooper Mortuary chapel of the ferns internment at the ocean view cemetery in Eureka California
