Thank you so much. Yes these are my people.
I was just in Grants Pass in May, but didn't have time to do much research.
Franklin Cook did live in Wolf Creek. The information that I have is differnt from what you found in that his wife was Emma Post. The birth dates that I have also are different. I have a picture of Franklin and Emma with all six children. I only know the names of the two boys that you mentioned and a daughter, Nora J, I have no dates for her, but the ones for the boys is the same as the ones that you mentioned.
It is possible that it might not be my Franklin Cook. I have taken pictures of his head stone and the date of his birth was January 01, 1853. He is buried at the Denmark Cemetery in Curry County. He and Emma had 6 children. I have been told that they lost 5 of them within a short time from an epedemic that broke out in the Wolf Creek area. Emma took the baby and left on horse back for Mapleton, where she was said to have family.
I will send my snail mail address in private email.
Thanks for your help. I do believe that Martha C. Vannoy is the correct lady for my ggrandfather. They had three children and then she must have died. He later married my ggreat grandmother Florence Hill in 1886.
