Native Daughter Dies
Lydia Campbell Lipps long resident of Josephine County.
Grants Pass Or. July 14 1934
A resident of Josephine County since 1878 Lydia Lucretia Campbell Lipps 67, died at her home in Grants Pass yesterday. Funeral services were held today. Mrs lipps is survived by the widower C.G. lipps, and her eight children by a former marriage; Mrs L.L. Jewell of Pinehurst Oregon; George T. Campbell, Jacksonville Or.;J.H. Campbell and C.V. Campbell Crescent City Ca.;C.W. Campbell of Takilma Or.; Myrtle Campbell of Salem, Mrs W.G. Garwick of Eugene and J.A. Campbell of Lakeport Or.
Born November 13, 1866 in Yamhill county Oregon she moved with her parents to Jackson county at the age of two years.
When she was 12 they moved to Waldo then the county seat of Josephine County, where she married in November 1884 to W.N. Campbell. She has sincelived in this county and married Lipps about three years ago.
