I did use Ancestry.com to get some info and it is there that I traced my Great Grandparents to southern Oregon in the 1930 census. This where the trail comes to an end.

Thru DNA tests it turned out my Grandfather had a male Moffitt as a father, thus the reason he was adopted by James Clark and Lavina Moffitt.
