MARCELLIA THOMAS
Former Glandale resident Marcellia Thomas, of Medford, died Sunday, July 27, 1997 at her home.
No services will be held. Abbey Funeral Home in Medford was in charge of arrangements.
Contributions may be made to Providence Hospice, Medford.
She was born on Aug 17, 1909 in Walnut Creek, Calif. On Aug 10, 1927, in Hillsboro, she married John Franklin Thomas, who preceded her in death in 1988. She had lived in Glendale before moving to Medford.
She was known for knitting caps for nursing homes and the handicapped. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and traveling.
Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Thomas-Tracy of Medford; a sister, Philippa McGrath of Grant's Pass; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her husband,she was preceded in death by a daughter.
