Hello Charleen:

I see that someone supplied you with Hiram's death date of April 18, 1936 in Napa.

Please take some of the information that Judy supplied with a large grain of salt. Judy's guesses and assumptions are just that.

A little research shows that the Blanche H Pickett, who passed away in Klamath Co., 1946, was probably Blanche Holmes Pickett, wife of Richard G. Pickett. This can ne verified by an email to the Oregon State Archive:

Some sad new which you may not have:

Oakland Tribune (Oakland, California) April 12, 1932
Father accused of Shooting Wife and Son
Willows, April 12
A complaint charging two counts of assault with attempt to commit murder was filed in justice court here yesterday against Hiram Pickett, 74, who escaped from the Glenn county hospital last Thursday night, shot and wounded his wife, Annie Pickett, 75, and his step-son Ernest Dettinger, 40, and then attempted to commit suicide.
Dettinger, the most seriously wounded, was believed out of danger today. Pickett has made a complete confession to officers.

Good Luck with your search!
