Roy E. Wilson
The funeral for Roy E. Wilson, 62, of 712 W. 14th St., Medford, who died Sunday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Reece of Bethel Assembly of God officiating. Committal will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2201 N. Phoenix Road, Medford. Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 12, 1917, in Crosbyton, Texas. On Sept. 2, 1939, in Roswell, N.M., he married the former Sybil Burton, who survives. Mr. Wilson moved to the Rogue Valley 23 years ago. He retired in 1964 from construction. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors in addition to his wife, include one son, Paul Wilson, Medford; three daughters, Mary Ann Brothers, Dublin, Calif., Charlotte Britton, Medford, and Bonnie Givens, Central Point; two brothers, Roscoe Wilson, Reno, Nev., and Fred Wilson in Alaska; three sisters, Flora Needham, Artesia, N.M., Margaret Price, Dexter, and Freda Hollis, Pacific City, Ore., and 11 grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Hearthstone Manor Memorial Fund, 2901 E. Barnett Road, Medford. Those who wish may pay their respects tonight until 7:30 p.m. in the Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel, 715 W. Main St., Medford.
