Richard Hyland
The memorial graveside service for Richard Aubrey Hyland will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery, Eagle Point. Mr. Hyland, 77, of Medford died May 24, 1989. He was born Feb.5, 1912 in San Diego, Calif. On Aug. 4, 1965 in Medford, he married the former Doris Gammill, who died in 1988. He moved to the Rogue Valley 26 years ago. Mr. Hyland played piano and drums with several groups in the valley. He was a member of the Musicians Union and the Elks Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include two step-daughters, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter. A daughter died earlier. Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford, are in charge of arrangements.
