I attended Camp Yaiewanoah in Talent,Oregon for several years. MAE LOWE and ALICE BURNETTE were the DIRECTORS of this girls camp. CAMP YAIEWANOAH was located up WAGNER CREEK ROAD. This camp was a campfire girls camp, but any young lady whom wanted to attend was more than welcome. CAMP YAIEWANOAH was a very important part of our lives as we were growing up. We learned to cook, gather wood, keep our units tidy where we slept, arts and crafts, singing around the campfire, take hikes, swim, learn to wash our clothes on the old scrub boards and hang them on clotheslines to dry, made friends. This camp was held every JULY. THE MOST IMPORTANT MEMORIES FROM CAMP YAIEWANOAH ARE THE LONG LASTING FRIENDSHIPS WE HAVE. BLESS MAE LOWE AND ALICE BURNETTE. WE LOVE YOU BOTH SINCERELY, KATHY BARR GREENOUGH Notify Administrator about this message?
